Uruguay is particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. Every year it is impacted by extreme events such as severe storms, floods, droughts, cold and heat weaves, high winds, tornadoes, hail, frost and heavy rain affecting our populations, infrastructure, productive processes and our ecosystems and biodiversity \n\nThe Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness and Preparatory Programme supports National Designated Authorities to build climate management capacity.\n\nUNOPS supplies grant management support to the Green Climate Fund to improve resilience to climate change.\n
