About this project
The Government Of Central African Republic identified the improvement of \nsolid waste management as a priority. As such, the United Nations Multidimensional \nIntegrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) appointed \nUNOPS to carry out an assessment of the Kolongo Landfill site used by both MINUSCA and the Municipality to dispose waste in Bangui as the first phase of a two-phase project. \n\nUNOPS was contracted by MINUSCA to conduct a feasibility study on the improvement of the Kolongo Landfill and to make recommendations for the site's improvement with respect to environmental impact mitigation and cost-effective disposal of waste. In this second phase, UNOPS has been asked to implement the rehabilitation and development of the Kolongo Waste management site.
