About this project
The project aims to improve access to clean water, hygiene and sanitation as well as to increase the resilience of targeted communities affected by the 2010 floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Sindh, Pakistan. The project will address the lack of clean water and sanitation in flood affected communities in KP and Sindh provinces through the rehabilitation of damaged water supply systems, capacity building of government entities on WATSAN asset management and encouraging hygiene-related community and household behavioral change. 50 percent of the funding will be used on infrastructure construction/rehabilitation while the remaining half will be spent on strengthening governance and hygiene/sanitation programs with the inclusion of women in activities.
