About this project
The Rising Nations Initiative (RNI) works to advance efforts towards protecting the statehood of Pacific Atoll countries, preserving their sovereignty and safeguarding the rights and heritage of affected populations. The initiative will be spearheaded by like minded countries and supported by a wide range of stakeholders from international & regional organisations, academia, philanthropy, civil society and the private sector. \n\nThe RNI is a Member State-led initiative guided by a core group of champions, including all Pacific atoll countries: Tuvalu, the Marshall Islands and Kiribati. It is operationalized by UNOPS and structured around three complementary pillars of action: Knowledge, Partnerships and Advocacy.\n
