About this project
The Rising Nations Initiative (RNI) will work to advance efforts towards protecting the statehood of Pacific Atoll countries, preserving their sovereignty and safeguarding the rights and heritage of affected populations. The initiative will be spearheaded by like minded countries and supported by a wide range of stakeholders from international & regional organisations, academia, philanthropy, civil society and the private sector. \n\nWith a new amendment funded by the City of Nice, the RNI has added a Mediterranean component to its efforts to support affected populations: the Coastal Cities Initiative (CCI). CCI is part of a global effort to support the Ocean Rise and Coastal Resilience Coalition in protecting coastal communities from climate change and rising sea levels.
