About this project
Additional Financing (AF) credit in the amount of US$55 million that will replenish US$30 million that were reallocated to the Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC), triggered on September 3, 2024, to respond to the 2023 - 2024 floods and Cyclone Hidaya, and US$25 million to address a financing gap in resettlement compensation. The proposed AF will also update the Project Development Objective (PDO) to reflect the CERC activities and the Results Framework. The CERC financed 6 works in Dar es Salaam to restore connectivity after the floods. The AF will enable continuation of activities and achievement of the PDO. The proposed AF does not change the implementation or fiduciary arrangements, the Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) policies, or the risk level.
