About this project
The proposed project is financed through a proposed IDA grant in the amount of US$40 million, a proposed Global Financing Facility (GFF) grant in the amount of US$20 million and a proposed grant in the amount of US$7million from the Pandemic Fund. The project aims to address the challenges facing the health sector toward achieving UHC by addressing the strategic pillars (1–8) of the UHC roadmap to strengthen the health systems, by using the hub-and-spoke model and building national health systems including those related to health security. The expected outcome is to build resilient health systems to set the foundation for an efficient, effective and accountable health system to increase coverage and uptake of health services and to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.
