About this project

The development objective of the Adaptive Safety Nets and Economic Inclusion Project for Cameroon is to expand the coverage and shock-responsive capacity of the safety nets system for poor households and to increase access to income-generation and entrepreneurship support opportunities for youth in urban areas. The project comprises four components: (i) Adaptive Safety Nets, which includes Regular Cash Transfers, Emergency Cash Transfers, and the Labor-Intensive Public Works (LIPW) Program; (ii) Youth Economic Inclusion and Entrepreneurship, comprising Economic Inclusion of Youth and a Business Plan Competition; (iii) Shock-Responsive Digital Delivery Systems, including the Unified Social Registry and a Digital Payment System; and (iv) Project Management and Coordination Support, which finances technical advisory services and other material assistance required for project implementation.
