About this project
The Project will maintain inclusive agricultural production in Ukraine, which has been significantly affected after February 2022, to provide benefits for local and global food security and nutrition. The Project will achieve its PDO by improving access to finance to farmers and agribusinesses, using the following mechanisms: (i) interest rate compensation for agricultural production loans issued by participating financial institutions under the credit program 5-7-9; (ii) grants to small-sized farms to support their agricultural production; and (iii) matching grants for agri-food producers and processors. The implementing agencies are the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food (MAPF) and the National Development Institution (NDI). The parent Project was prepared under the emergency procedures. It became effective in October 2023 and was recently extended through September 2028.
