About this project

The development objectives of the Resilience Development Policy Financing with a Catastrophe Deferred Drawdown Option for Vanuatu are to: (1) promote fiscal resilience and transparency, and (2) strengthen climate and disaster risk management. The operation will help enhance fiscal and climate resilience in the aftermath of the earthquake. It is designed as a standalone operation to establish an initial record of reform and to ensure a tailored response to current challenges. Pillar 1 focuses on bolstering domestic revenue mobilization and improving governance processes to promote fiscal resilience and transparency. Pillar 2 supports actions to prepare for and respond to climate change and disasters.
