About this project

This project aims to support vulnerable communities in the islands of Grenada, Saint Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines to increase water security through nature-friendly, community-driven rainwater-harvesting systems. Support targets vulnerable households and farmers in the communities, and promotes female leadership and support to women farmers. Project activities include; (1) providing capacity building for integrated water resource management that considers climate change impacts, biodiversity and inclusivity; (2) designing a strategy for collecting and digitizing hydro-meteorological data to better inform adaptation planning and support climate finance applications; (3) providing, repairing or restoring equipment for rainwater capture and storage; and (4) promoting cross-country exchanges to facilitate the sharing of knowledge on best practices.
