About this project

The project aims to improve food security by increasing income for households working in agriculture in Sudan, with a particular focus on women and youth. Project activities include: (1) developing an inclusive, gender-responsive strategy for improving agricultural markets in target states; (2) supporting set up and strengthening for agribusiness hubs, which will provide services to farmers and agricultural business owners; (3) training farmer groups and small- and medium-sized businesses on food processing, managerial, marketing, and trade promotion techniques; (4) improving access to finance for agricultural business owners, especially for female-led businesses; and (5) facilitating collective action and advocacy to level the playing field for female entrepreneurs.
