About this project

Pakistan is continuing its flood recovery efforts in response to the 2022 devastating floods that impacted the lives of over 33 million across the country. This project aims to respond to critical challenges caused or exacerbated by the 2022 floods, while strengthening resilience to climate change and shocks for flood affected and at-risk communities. The project also aims to strengthen proactive mitigation and gender-responsive disaster preparedness and recovery, accelerate resilient access to and provision of essential basic services, and promote access to assets and strategies critical to the resumption and resilience of livelihoods, particularly for women and girls in flood affected communities. The project is aligned with the Government of Pakistan’s, “Resilient Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Framework”.
