About this project

October 2024 – The complex emergencies and ongoing crises in Afghanistan and Lebanon severely worsened humanitarian conditions, increasing health and protection services needs. In Afghanistan, years of conflict, economic collapse, displacement, and climate-related disasters created urgent and sustained needs across the country. Similarly, in Lebanon, ongoing conflict and displacement significantly disrupted livelihoods and undermined essential services delivery, leaving vulnerable populations in desperate need of support. With GAC’s support, World Vision Canada helps provide lifesaving and gender-responsive health and protection assistance to vulnerable people in Afghanistan and Lebanon. Project activities include: (1) providing emergency health assistance; (2) providing technical and material support to health care systems; (3) promoting health, hygiene and nutrition; and (4) providing protection services.
