About this project
The Syria Independent Monitoring Evidence Analysis (SIMEA) programme is crucial for the UK monitoring and evaluation strategy of its Syria programmes. SIMEA provides critical "eyes on the ground" feedback and verification of partner reports, enabling the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to assess project delivery, challenge partners, and enhance programmes while mitigating risks. SIMEA's dual purpose includes performing independent monitoring to improve project design and risk management, and generating evidence and analysis to inform policy, programme, and diplomatic decisions across UK’s Syria programmes. SIMEA monitoring covers the full range of sectors adressed by the FCDO response (e.g., Food Security, Cash Assistance, Livelihoods, Health, Nutrition, Shelter, Social Protection, Protection, WASH) while integrating GEDSI aspects.
