About this project

There are 15 indigenous peoples living in the target state, 14 of whom do not yet have legal recognition of their territories. The aim of the project is to protect their territories from encroachment and to obtain legal recognition of them, as well as to preserve ecosystems so that cultural heritage is preserved and environmental destruction is avoided. The indigenous communities receive legal accompaniment, support in negotiations with authorities and a strengthening of communication to inform the majority society. The target group is leaders and youth from 15 indigenous peoples.
