About this project

The population in the project region lives predominantly from agriculture, which is, however, threatened by many challenges such as low yields, lack of access to credit and inputs and the consequences of climate change. The project facilitates women farmers in particular to engage in micro agro-processing or value addition to generate additional income, especially during the dry season. This enables them to better mitigate all kinds of uncertainties caused by climate change.
