About this project

In Brazil, agribusiness is increasingly expanding as the dominant agricultural model, threatening smallholder agroecological initiatives and agrobiodiversity. The aim of the project is therefore to support smallholders in preserving their native seeds and to strengthen their political participation so that they can better assert their rights. This is to be achieved, among other things, through workshops and broad-based mobilization campaigns. The target group consists mainly of women, whose economic autonomy needs to be strengthened.
