About this project
In the rural project region, most of the inhabitants practise subsistence farming. Due to various external and internal factors, the yields are decreasing visibly and thus the income is decreasing and food insecurity is increasing. In addition, there are social problems, such as patriarchal structures or a high level of violence within the families, as well as hygiene problems. The project executing agency is trying to counteract this with methods of sustainable agriculture, by improving sanitary facilities and strengthening family structures.
