About this project
Small-scale fishers are among the poorest and most disadvantaged groups in Brazil. They contribute significantly to the conservation of biodiversity in the river and coastal areas, but their existence is threatened by a variety of external factors. The partner organisation plays an important role in strengthening the movement of small-scale fishers at national level and in supporting the target group in demanding their rights from government agencies. In addition, the organisation strengthens the regional offices, which are also supported.
