About this project

The project promotes the strengthening resilience and securing healthy nutrition for children/young people through agroecological, context-based environmental education. To this end, climate-resilient agricultural practices of smallholder farming families are supported in order to promote the production of healthy food and the sustainable cultivation and irrigation of the Caatinga biome. A central aspect of this is environmental education in rural schools. The planned measures for this are concerned with the reformulation of curricula in rural schools, taking into account eco-pedagogy and contextualized education in curricula. Another important pillar is the strengthening, networking and mobilization of civil society organizations to influence political measures.
