About this project

The project aims to improve the living conditions, food security and socio-economic empowerment of women and girls affected by the crisis and conflict in the communes of Diffa and Kablewa. The main objective is for vulnerable households (mainly women and girls) in the communes of Diffa and Kablewa to use their newly acquired skills and resources to generate more income, feed themselves and their families in a more balanced way, and play a greater role in decision-making at household and community level. The action will help to reduce gender inequalities, promote greater access to economic and productive resources, and increase understanding about womens rights. By strengthening womens economic capacities, social benefits will be higher, as it is estimated that women invest 90% of their income in the health, education and nutrition of their families.
