About this project
The particularly vulnerable target group, women in villages with a majority of ethnic minorities in the communities of H?ng Kim, H?ng Thái and Qu?ng Nhâm in the mountainous district of A Lu?i, which has been severely affected by the legacy of war, are sensitised to environmental protection measures through art competitions, high-profile campaign work and training and empowered to participate effectively in local environmental protection measures (e.g. community forest protection, planting bamboo to prevent erosion and installing solar-powered street lighting). This enables them to participate effectively in local environmental protection measures (e.g. community forest protection, planting bamboo to prevent erosion and installing solar-powered street lighting). In addition, their socio-economic position is promoted (e.g. development of sustainable income models). To institutionalise the knowledge and capacities developed as part of the project, they are recorded in manuals and guidelines. This way, the project combines ecological sustainability with economic perspectives for those affected by intersectional disadvantages based on gender, ethnicity and socio-economic status.
