About this project

For millions of people in Indonesia, the forest is the basis of their livelihood and in some cases is legally protected for this purpose. Nevertheless, the yield is often not enough to survive. By bringing together interest groups and technical/specialist input, the aim is to create a basis for communities to benefit economically as a whole. Based on local knowledge and innovations resulting from joint learning, the utilisation of local natural resources is increased for the social forestry groups, youth and children as well as for women.
