About this project

Due to intensive deforestation, soil degradation and the effects of climate change, communities that live from agriculture and/or fishing face difficult conditions. Government programmes have so far not been effective enough to secure their livelihoods. Farming communities in Kalimantan have learned how to use government programmes effectively and are now working collectively. In close cooperation with local authorities, available resources can be utilised to produce, process and market sustainable products.
