About this project

The indigenous population in Indonesia is facing the increasing destruction of their livelihoods, e.g. through deforestation for palm oil plantations and mining. Through joint actions to strengthen their rights and culture, through sustainable use of natural resources and effective protection against disasters, the resilience of the communities is to be strengthened and economic and ecological injustice countered. In the respective networks, women, farmers and young people are developing appropriate strategies and mechanisms to preserve their independence and their still intact and rich environment.
