About this project

The trend towards urbanisation is particularly strong in Asia. In conjunction with the climate crisis, this means enormous challenges but also potential to keep cities habitable and liveable for all residents. Through transformative measures in three exemplary cities in Indonesia and a broad alliance of civil society and state actors who are committed to these goals, such potentials are to be identified and multiplied as far as possible. Urban promoters work together with the local community at one level, while networking and lobbying at national and international level is another strand.
