About this project
In Indonesia, food security is a recurring theme right up to the highest levels of government. Their strategy for feeding the growing population is to use highly productive industrial agricultural facilities, mostly monocultures, which have not been very successful in the past because they are not adapted to the geographical and cultural diversity of Indonesia. The project approach, which involves optimising local conditions for family farmers by means of mapping and appropriate village guidelines, as well as expanding their traditional knowledge, means that the land is cultivated in a way that is adapted to the local conditions and is sustainable.
