About this project

The predominantly indigenous population in rural areas of Guatemala has historically been largely excluded from access to adequate healthcare. The aim is therefore to strengthen a local network of volunteer health promoters in the project region who offer integral health services. To this end, promoters will receive further training on medical, social and environmental issues and be supported by specialised staff. The target group are the promoters and the residents of rural communities.
