Strengthening food security and sustainable protection of water resources in water catchment areas

About this project

The project aims to improve the production systems of the target groups and thus food security in a context of water shortages and eroded soils. Grassroots organisations are strengthened in order to influence public social policy and exercise their civil rights in conjunction with other local and regional actors. The resources of the water catchment areas are to be protected through agroecological practices (water catchment, reforestation, agroforestry, production of liquid and solid organic fertiliser).
