About this project

In Malawi, 85% of the population live in rural areas. Although women do most of the agricultural work, they are denied the right to dispose of property and land. The project helps to ensure that women and other marginalised groups in the project area have lifelong access to and ownership of land and can realise their right to food and socio-economic rights. This is achieved through training, awareness-raising, lobbying and advocacy work, the production and dissemination of radio programmes and other information and educational materials.
