About this project

The rural and indigenous population in the project area is particularly affected by mining activities, but their guaranteed rights are very often disregarded. The project works together with indigenous leaders and wise men. The aim is to strengthen the rights of the indigenous population, protect the environment in the project area and respect the adapted indigenous way of life and culture as an alternative way of life. To this end, managers receive further training and are strengthened and supported in their lobbying work for territorial recognition and environmental protection.
