About this project

The project operates in a context of increasing expansion of mining concessions in Ecuador and the associated violation of the territorial rights of the population. The aim of the project is to strengthen processes of participatory defence of the territory of the population affected by extractivism. Local actors, NGOs and indigenous organisations in the affected regions are supported. With the help of geographical tools and the identification of gender inequalities in the area, with a concrete action plan and strengthened local and national networks, the participants in the project, who will continue the resistance against mega-mining, will be able to better confront the mining companies and the state with their ideas of a good life.
