About this project
The aim is to strengthen the resilience of smallholder, indigenous and traditional communities exposed to various forms of violence and conflict and to support them in standing up for their rights and traditional ways of life at local and national level. The three teams - the National Office, the Cerrado Network and the Amazon Network - support the respective target groups in remaining in their traditional territories and denouncing the violations of human rights committed against them to public authorities, the judicial system and international organizations. To this end, strategies for public relations, protection and digital security are being further developed. Among other things, educational measures, networking activities and lobbying measures are carried out at regional, national and international level and audiovisual material is produced for broad public relations work. Of particular importance is the annual publication of the brochure Land Conflicts in Brazil. The target group are small farmers, landless people, indigenous and traditional population groups affected by land and environmental conflicts in around 325 associations. Another target group are 539 employees of the churchs CPT department in 21 regional offices, including 380 volunteers.
