About this project
Indigenous areas are considered to be particularly rich in biodiversity and their ways of life and cultivation particularly important for climate protection. On the other hand, indigenous communities and small farmers associations often do not have the capacity to analyse the effects of megaprojects, and to effectively counter potential threats. At the same time, however, they suffer particularly from the consequences of climate change. The project therefore empowers indigenous communities and local organisations to protect their livelihoods and thus contribute to climate change.
