About this project

The project supports indigenous peoples management committees in 16 nationally designated protected areas in natural resource management, small business and livelihood development, institutional development and administration, particularly in complying with national legislation. The protected areas are established within the framework of national legislation and are given the right to manage and benefit from wildlife and tourism on their land. The project particularly targets women as heads of households and young people.
