About this project

The project addresses poverty, low nutrition status, degradation of agricultural land and climate-related risks of droughts and floods by enhancinghouseholds food and nutrition security through diversification of drought tolerant crops and livestock and increasing productivity through small-scale irrigation. It enhances their incomes by supporting co-operatives, helping with market access and youth vocational training. The project facilitates community-based formulation of anticipatory actions for disaster preparedness and helps preserve natural resources.
