Legal Support in the defence and enforcement of traditional land rights, continuation

About this project

The project informs customary landowners about their rights, it does provide remote communities legal education on land rights. Through these programs, the project informs the mostly illiterate landowners on how their rights have been abused by external actors such as mining companies. The project will also represent their interests in court, provide legal counsel to communities to fight for their land rights. It will also lobby for the reform of policies and laws currently allowing land rights infringements to allow for bill amendments favoring landowners.
