Strengthening food security and resilience of people with and without disabilities and their communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

About this project

The project aims to strengthen the foundations that ensure the livelihoods and food security of disadvantaged population groups, including people with disabilities, and thus improve their resilience. To this end, measures are planned in three areas: 1) Improving the livelihoods of people with and without disabilities through vocational training, promotion of self-employment and access to state social security systems, 2) Increasing food security through diversification of agricultural production, application of modern agricultural techniques and water management, 3) Increased social participation of people with disabilities through greater accessibility, trained civil society organizations for self-advocacy and increased awareness through sensitization of communities and government agencies on inclusion.
