About this project

The project aims to sustainably improve the socio-economic conditions of families with reintegrated street children in the districts of Musanze, Bugesera and Kayonza in Rwanda. To achieve this, the project combines training in climate-resilient agriculture, support in the form of livestock and improved seeds, and the promotion of savings groups and entrepreneurial skills. Psychosocial support for children and caregivers strengthens their emotional and mental health. A total of 300 street children will be identified, rehabilitated and reintegrated into their families. Local structures are trained to support families during the reintegration and stabilisation process. Coordination platforms at district and national level facilitate exchanges between relevant actors. The project strengthens the resilience of families and communities, improves child protection and ensures sustainable impact through close cooperation with authorities and community structures.
