About this project

The objective of the project is to empower rural communities to be more resilient against climate change impacts through sustainable WaSH services. This will be achieved through capacity building of community members (especially women and youth) on climate-resilient WASH technologies and practices, strengthening community-based WASH committees, strengthening community-based and government disaster response, raising awareness on climate change adaptation and WASH behavior change. The project will also work with relevant stakeholders to advocate for strengthening WASH and disaster risk reduction coordination at multiple levels. These systems strengthening from micro to macro levels will be completed by setting up resilient WaSH infrastructures that can withstand climate shocks which will be managed by the capacitated communities.
