About this project

Improving health and living conditions as well as rehabilitation in five Ethiopian prisons by providing sustainable access to WASH facilities, supporting tuberculosis strategies and economically empowering inmates. In addition, fully functional, gender-segregated WASH facilities are to be offered and improved TB and HIV prevention and control capacities are to be established in the target prisons. Targeted lobbying at national level will promote the inclusion of prisons in national WASH programmes. The aim is for inmates and prison staff to improve their personal hygiene in the 5 target prisons.
