About this project
Since 2019, Welthungerhilfe Malawi has been implementing a multi-stage project to strengthen WASH systems in collaboration with BASEDA and WESNET. Phase I ended in 2022, and Phase II will run until the end of 2025. The project has strengthened the provider, district, and national levels. The aim is to address systemic weaknesses, improve access to water and sanitation services, and promote sustainability and equity. Phase III builds on previous progress and aims to bring about structural changes, particularly at the macro level, to eliminate existing bottlenecks.
