About this project
Approximately 4.4 million people live in informal settlements in the project area in the Philippines. Due to their location, these settlements and their inhabitants are particularly vulnerable to the effects of the climate crisis. They are also frequently affected by infrastructure measures. 104 grassroots groups representing more than 500,000 people are campaigning to be involved in urban development processes and to legalise their living space. This also includes protection from the effects of the climate crisis in the form of disaster management and measures to adapt to changing climatic conditions.
