About this project
The livelihoods of smallholder families in the project region are threatened by, among other things, increased drought as a result of climate change, while at the same time the lack of future prospects is causing young people to migrate. The aim of the project is therefore to secure the food supply of smallholder families and improve their income by adapting their farming methods and lifestyles to the consequences of climate change and by strengthening their technical and social skills. A particular focus of the project is on training young, indigenous people. Measures include the establishment of ecological agroforestry plots, courses on healthy nutrition and gender equality and the training of students in agroecology, agroforestry and livestock farming as well as further training to disseminate agroecology, rights and support for their actions as promoters.
