About this project
The project region is characterised by a very high level of biodiversity. There are still large expanses of primeval forests, unpolluted rivers and ethnically diverse farming communities. Nevertheless, the areas are threatened by mining and their defenders are criminalised. The aim of the project is to prevent violations of constitutional rights, environmental degradation and the social collapse of communities. It is aimed at grassroots civil society groups that are committed to the defence of their territories. Project measures include collecting information, conducting studies, legal support, communication campaigns and networking.
