About this project
Around 50% of people in the state of Jharkhand live below the official poverty line, most of whom are Adivasi (indigenous people), followed by Dalits (outcaste people). The project aims to significantly improve the living conditions of marginalised population groups by providing them with sustainable livelihoods and by actively involving them in development processes at the local administrative level. This is to be achieved by strengthening the capacities of around 840 smallholder families, 240 self-help groups, 90 disadvantaged young people and 1,500 Adivasi and Dalit families, so that their food and income situation can be improved through diversified, sustainable agricultural production.
