About this project
The project is being implemented in a remote part of the country, home to a predominantly semi-nomadic population. The project focuses on prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and their babies, vaccination of children under 5, and campaigns against the practice of female genital mutilation. Furthermore, the project sponsor contributes to the provision of basic medical care to an otherwise severely underserved population. Care consists of preventive, supportive, and curative services offered in one inpatient clinic and six mobile clinics.
