About this project

The Peruvian government relies primarily on mining, industrial agriculture and large-scale projects for its income. This disregards the rights of the local population and damages the environment. The target group of the project are the member organizations of the Red Muqui network as well as communities affected by mining and their local leaders. The aim is to strengthen them and enforce their internationally and state-guaranteed rights. Activities include meetings, training, production of information material, political lobbying and legal advice.
