About this project

The aim of the project is to support socially vulnerable population groups - especially smallholder farming families - in the semi-arid region of Rio Grande de Norte in achieving food, water and energy security and improving their living conditions. To this end, SEAPAC advises smallholder families on agroecological cultivation and marketing, the development of infrastructure and social policies as well as social technologies for coexistence with the semi-arid region, such as bigas systems, systems for the use of industrial water, drinking water cisterns and solar dryers. It also promotes horizontal learning processes, advises solidarity-based economic initiatives and is involved in networks and at a political level, qualifying smallholders to become involved in civil society participation spaces and demand their rights
